1. Agreement

By accessing or using acemynotes (“Service”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Accounts

• You are responsible for your account and keeping your credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate information and comply with applicable laws, school policies, and these Terms.
• Use is intended for individuals 13+ (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).

3. Acceptable Use

• No illegal activity, harassment, or abuse of the Service or other users.
• No attempts to disrupt, reverse engineer, or circumvent security or limits.
• No uploading of content that infringes others’ rights or violates law/school rules.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you upload or create. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content as needed to provide the Service. You are responsible for obtaining any rights necessary to use your content.

5. AI Features

To generate outputs (notes, quizzes, flashcards, images), we may process your content with third-party AI providers under contract. Outputs may not be unique and can contain errors; you should review them before relying on them.

6. Service Changes

We may modify or discontinue features at any time. Where reasonably possible, we’ll give notice of material changes.

7. Fees

If paid plans or credits are offered, pricing and terms will be shown at checkout. Taxes may apply. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable once consumed or the billing period has started.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on third parties (e.g., authentication, storage, hosting, AI providers). Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services.

9. Disclaimers

The Service and outputs are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, availability, or suitability for a particular purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, acemynotes and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid to use the Service in the 3 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless acemynotes and its affiliates from claims arising out of your content or violation of these Terms or law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach, misuse, or security reasons. On termination, your right to use the Service ends.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflicts of laws principles. Venue for disputes will be the courts located in Ontario, Canada.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be announced in-product or via email.
